This may not be the right forum for this question, if it isn't will the mods please move it. I was driving yesterday morning at 2 am, the temperature was -2C and I heard a (warning?) chime sound quite softly 6 times - that is 2 groups of 3 chimes with about a second between the group. No warning lights came on anywhere, and the sounds didn't repeat. I later called the dealer but he had no idea what it might be. Does anyone know? |

Do you have an EVIC? I have a bad washer fluid level sensor, and when I start the Jeep I get a beep and the EVIC shows that it is a low washer fluid level. While I'm driving, I get a tone like you get -- my reaction is "it's a low washer level" and I look at the EVIC -- nothing there. My wife, from the driver's seat, sees the readout just above the odometer says "LOWASH" every time, but I rarely get through the gyration of hearing the alarm, looking at the EVIC, realizing it says nothing, and looking at the dash readout -- all in time before the readout goes away. Point is, next time you get the alarm, look at the dash. There seems to be some inconsistency in where the errors read out. Or maybe it's just that mine is "unique". |

It's a BCM gremlin. From time to time, our KJs will just ding randomly. No lights, no warnings, no problems. Just a chime then it's fine for months. |

Yes I do have an EVIC, and given the weather has been a bit dirty here, the washer level could have gone down a bit:) Or it could be one of those random things that happen from time to time. I'll have a look at the odo area if it happens again. Thanks guys. |

I had trans code come up recently on mine. had the dealer diagnose and they couldn't clear the code. Since they diagnosed it...they couldn't figure out the problem and couldn't clear the light. They had to call Chrysler engineers to figure out how to fix the issue. they unhooked the PCM/TCM/ABS computers and touched the positive/negative battery cables together. Problem fixed. something was stored in memory on the capacitors...and they had to do a hard reboot. |

The LoWash on the ODO will come up on mine, when it is not displayed on the EVIC... Usually after it HAS alerted me already using the EVIC. I have gotten similar warnings on the EVIC about the TPMS "Check TPMS system" from it as well... Without the TPMS idiot light. I believe the TPMS has to do with either not running the spare or that I am approaching 100k miles, so the batteries are probably dying and will need new sensors soon. Either way, it displays on both the ODO and the EVIC at different times. Possibly because I didn't have the EVIC stock and added it without re-coding the BCM somehow? It could also be an ice warning. I'm not sure if our CRDs have that capability baked into the EVIC, but a previous car's info system would bing and say "ice" anytime the temps were less than 36. |

X2 on Low Wash, set mine off every winter living in the Salt Belt. |
