Post subject:  Syphoning diesel
So I need to drop the tank but I still have 1/4 tank of diesel.
I tried to syphon out some more of the diesel but when I hit metal, I come up dry.

Is there an elbow or anti-theft screen before I hit fuel?

Not sure how different the gasser tanks are so I thought I would start here first.

with just a quarter of a tank you should be able to manage that with a floor jack

Yes should be able to manage taking it out.

If its too heavy after you get it down, you can always siphon some out before reinstalling it, should be easy without the filler neck attached.

I probably have about 40 lbs of diesel. I just didn't want to crush the tank.
