Know of anyone who would want to sell their CRD engine cover I'm interested! I just had to remove mine while replacing the fuel filter in about 10*F and one of the mounts pulled right off and stayed attached to the motor! Anyone know where I might find a replacement? |

Yeah, that sucks, the one on my LTD cracked as well. I put some white grease in the sockets, the reason they crack is the rubber sets up on them like glue. |

What do you wish to pay for it? Mine has been off most of the vehicle's life. |

took mine off when I did the provent install and not likely to put it back. was going to keep it to put back on if I ever trade or sell it but I might sell the cover. |

I'm in south east Michigan, not sure what a good price would be ha! I thought about trying to fiberglass or epoxy it but I doubt it oils hold for long! I will check the dealer price, that's if they can even get them anymore! |

Chances are you would do some serious damage. I have the factory block heater as well as an oil pan heater, keeps it toasty warm. |

Just want to make sure I understand....Did the piece that holds the rubber mount break off the cover or did the rubber mount stay on the post on the engine? If it did the latter, you can pull it off the post by hand and put it back on the cover. If this reply is way off base, my apologies... |

Everytime I have to remove a cover one or two of the rubber mounts stays behind, just grab it and reinstall. Also, why do you want the cover on the engine anyways? |

No I have had the rubber piece stay on the mounts when removed buy this time it was nice and cold and I was mad that it wouldn't start so the plastic part that holds the rubber to the cover broke off. And I'm not sure why I like the cover but I do ha. Has anyone had any problems with heat damage to the paint of the hood in the summer time, with the cover off? |

ok, I know this is an old thread, but does anyone have the part numbers for the rubber bushings in the cover or the posts that screw into the engine to support the cover? |

I searched for one myself a few months back and was told by the Jeep parts department that the part number for the rubber grommet doesn't exist; it is part of the engine cover assembly, for the mere sum of 230 dollars. |
