Sorry to hear that you paid for it, and welcome to the board! One of our members, Sir Sam, has created a CRD NOOB thread with a lot of great info in it... Including a link to download a PDF of the factory service manual for free. Do let us know more about you and your CRD, and if you have any issues, ask here before EVER going to a stealership! ![]() |

I got the DC repair manuals in PDF off ebay for $3 on a downloadable deal. Its like 4230 pages of info that is what I believe is the same stuff the dealers have. Covers gassers and CRDs like mine. For $3 I thought it was a good deal. |

Oh I almost forgot, issues with the CRD. Blew the CAC hose, motor mount took a dump, torque converter recall, and left lower ball joint. Only thing I paid for was the CAC hose everything else was covered 100%, surprisingly. I do have a new OEM thermostat on the way. A little more trouble than I would like, but LOVE that torque! About my CRD Only mods are the orm and magnaflow muffler and new tires. Going to get the GDE tune before spring, and hopefully a powertrax no slip. Then it will be a true 3 x 4. ![]() Does anyone know if the skids from a gasser and the CRD are the same? |

Skids are almost the same - although the stock ones on the 05 were paper thin and bent fairly easily - replacements (ordered in 08) and from what I've heard the 02-04 version are thicker (haven't tried to bend it yet) the other difference on the old/new are that some of the mounting holes are in the wrong places - drill & bolt work better than nutserts anyway. and Truetrac's are great - I've got em front & rear. (Moab is 1200 pavement miles away - I wasn't going to do a Locker) |

For the record I provide the CRD Factory Service Manual, as well as many other service manuals, as a free download to anyone that wants them: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24600 |

See, I wouldn't have a problem selling the PDF on ebay either... Except that the people who need this manual are likely to end up here, and have been pooped on by Chrysler too much already. Any CRD related literature should be free. |

I'm as hard up for money as the next guy, and hosting a website has cost me more than I wanted to. A couple of times I've gotten close to trying to sell CD's of the service manual on ebay or CL, but each time I decided I would rather "share the love" and help out other people by provided the varies literature for free. Also, I take donations of service manuals for any vehicle(so they can be shared online for all), money, beer, and baked goods. |
