Post subject:  Rear Brake Service

I need to replace the pads and rotors on the rear of the CRD and need to avoid any extra downtime due to waiting for parts. I have rotors, pads (Porterfield R4S) and slider boots on hand. The calipers were replaced by Jeep just 40K ago, so hopefully they are OK. Those of you who have done this service, what else may I need (parking brake parts, etc.)?

Thanks,

I just put on pads, and I was good to go.

My calipers were seized so that is a possibility.

I'd replace the parking break pads. Mine were brittle and flaking off but then again, I had 80k on my rig when I did its first brake job. Its also a good time to do a brake flush. I flush brake fluid every 2 years and since I've been doing this, I've never had any issues with calipers.
