I am looking for an experienced CRD mechanic/guru near Seattle to examine a kj that I might purchase. I would be willing to pay around $50 if that sounds reasonable. Is anyone interested themselves, or know of a good mechanic in the area? Thanks

Hello, I live in Issaquah and havent found a CRD specific guy yet. Mathew at Zohntech in Redmond is a VW diesel specialist. He does all my VW TDI work. Ive talked to him at my CRD before. You might give him a call. The more people that do the more he'll get into it.

Heffe, have you worked on CRD's before? Forgive me, I know it isnt rocket science, but would be nice to find someone with experience....

After purchasing one myself, I decided I better get to know them a little. Have done mostly maintenance. Timing belts, crank sensors, turbo cleanings, nothing like a full teardown. But have taken several classes on these and the sprinters which are almost identical. There really isn't much to these bad boys. I love 'em!
