I just sent Cristian a direct email asking about distribution plans over here. At minimum I'd think we could coordinate a decent size order to be sent to one place and broken out from there if US Customs is not too big an issue.

Customs shouldn't be a big deal on parts, it's only engines that aren't available in the US that they get funny about.

So why are these any better than the new factory replacement other than the need for the reflash?

At 36 euro seems that they would be the same if not more than the factory upgrade kit.

I just posted a new topic regarding a bulk order as I received a response from Christano at Etecno1 this morning on ordering options.

Sqeeto numbers aren't off! The price depend on your location...he mention how much cost him one glow plug and specify the 10% you get if you order 4 of those

Here my bill for 1 glow plug (have to pay 6,30 in taxes to who???

Ordinary mail (Shipping to CA : 0.055 Kg(s)): 13,00EUR
Sub-Total: 49,30EUR
Total: 49,30EUR
(Tax): 6,30EUR

I try to order 50 of those to get the 30% cut off they advertise and this show nowhere on my bill so i cancel the order :ROTFL:

I'm a bit septic about this site and Etecno advice of 100% testing! How can you test a product for durability in 4 months? Here in eastern Canada we got very cold winter, temp can drop below -30 with the Humidex factor, I park my Jeep just beside the Saint-Laurent river at work and my house is 160 feets from "des Milles ïles" river so It can't be worse then that for a set of glow plug and a battery , well there is Igloolik nunavut but they use snowmobile and dogs up there :ROTFL: (Google image and check it out:-)

I wait for a serious resellers and a fair price before ordering anything and I suggest you do all the same. At $50 each glow plug they better last a couple of clic....

hmm... I guess when he said "set of 4" I thought he was talking about total cost, not cost per glow plug.

FYI, per an email I just received, Keith at GDE has been in contact with Etechno and is looking into options to distribute their glow plugs. That said he would like to see some real winter performance data rather than just testing but he does say they are running well in his CRD.

As to cost remember we can no longer get new single ceramic glow plugs and the true cost of a set of the OEM 5v plugs with controller and dealer ECU flash is on the order of $235+US ($125+shipping for the kit and $100 for the dealer flash - yes if you have a GDE flash it can be updated to handle the 5v plugs for $50 but that only drops the total cost to ca. $185) even if you install the plugs yourself.

I cannot speak for anyone but myself but I want all 4 ceramics gone and I'd just as soon stay with 7v given chat about how 5v plugs played out in other vehicles.

Keith play the safe card and I agree with him! We need to know how they perform under very cold condition first before backing up this product. We will be fixed in 2 months about that, now like I already tell, if we got a good reseller and a fair price, I jump in that wagon, otherwise I will consider import them myself or buy the Chrysler upgrade as a last resord... :2cents:

Price is now $48.08 and will change again, I am sure.

I didn't do the currency conversion, there is a "Currencies" tab on the page.

Of course! The currency change five times a week! I'm not even sure this site is ready for international business, got some bug since the 30% rebate was not apply at the final checkpoint before pay your bill....

(50 glow plug $2403.97 - 30% = $1682.78 / $33.66 each+Taxes+Shipping)

(Sitting on my two spare sets of ceramics)

Doesn't seem to be much choice - either pay Chrysler for their 5 V wonder plug and reflash (and then you're stuck with using 5 V plugs unless someone can re-reflash your ECM) - or give the Italians a shot with their 7 V replacement.

FWIW, I'd rather have two fireflys rubbing their nether regions together, or pay VAT and shipping, than give Chrysler and Fix It Again Tony another dime.

There should be a non APO/FPO address for localized shipping. I used to have a TON of parts shipped directly to my on-post housing unit when I was stationed in Japan. Often you can have bits shipped to mail distro's physical address, then distributed to the recipient's box/unit. You can also talk to the unit/post mail handlers, or any local-national in the supply room who is in charge of local purchases. They should have access to the direct addy as well.

No I'm having it mailed to the British people I work with so it stays within there normal system then they will just give me my box when it arrives. Trying to make it look as normal as it can for the company less questions that way.
