So I'm putting the frankenlift in this afternoon and have noticed that the new struts are only 1/2 or so longer than the stock ones. I realize that the lift in the "instructions" is a gasser, but will this extra 1/2 inch really add two to two and a half inches to the factory height? I also lowered the clevis 3/8 inch from the stop point. It does rub the coil at full droop now but I haven't taken it off of the jack stands yet so I don't know how it will do at normal height.

You will probably only get 2" out of the FL. That's all I got. The new spring is also stiffer than the old one. Notice how it has one less coil than stock. Fewer coils means stiffer spring, all else being equal.

Well, it's all in. I had to fully seat the clevis shackle against the stop because the drivers CV boot was making contact with it. 8 hours isn't too bad. I only drove it about half a mile on the highway because I dislodged one of the vacuum lines at the reservoir but man did it feel good.

I did not yet mount the brake line extender because for the life of me, I couldn't figure out where and how it mounts. Any photos out there?

I don't think you need it for an '05.

On the '06 it goes on the bracket that holds the rear drivers side line to the frame.

With the rear end at full extension the brake line was pretty taunt. I think that if I were doing a three wheel manuver with the passenger rear wheel compressed up and the drivers side drooping, there would not be enough brake line. The nice lady at Boulderbars told me that some 05s need it and some don't. They should be ashamed for charging $30.00 for a .10c piece channel iron. There were not even any instructions with it.

So KaspinCRD, Does it just push the brake line over sideways, or is there a way to mount it to make it extend lower?

I don't know which brake line extension you have but it's supposed to lower it.

Ever since I went wheeling with a few friends and noticed how much tension/stress gets on the line with out it I quickly fabed my own up.

This is for the 06s but at least you'll get the idea.
