Had a serious high voltage underground pull today for a new dorm. The 2/0 hv wire was teflon coated. Said not to use wire ease but we couldn't help ourselves.
Anyways, the boss made a rare appearance out to the jobsite this morning and I notice he's driving his wifes car. After checking on the job he tells me a story about his CRD burning coolant. Said he brought it to a mechanic to get a bunch($1200brakes n stuff) worth of work done to it but tells him not to do it if it has a cracked block or blown head gasket. Well the guy does the work, and charges him for a new radiator cap saying that the cap wasn't maintaining propper pressure and that was his problem with loosing all of that fluid.
He drives it home and ended up having to keep adding fluid the next few days the way he had been doing. The other day on the Causway Bridge(24 miles over water), the same bridge mine was on when it went kaput, his CRuD went kaput.
Told me it hydrolocked and he's not spending another dollar on it. I jokingly told him I'd give him like three or four hundred for it. He said "You know what it's yours.Between the two mabe you can get one working, let me just get the paperwork straight."
So now I will be the proud owner of an 05 & an 06 CRD Inop Edition KJ.
Two broke Jeeps.....the neighbors are gonna love this one.
