Im trying to find the two filters needed for auto tranny fluid change for my 100,000km service. Parts lookup has the two numbers as: 04799662AB and 05013470AC When I punch these numbers into moparpartsonline i get no hits.......anywhere else I can get them at less than dealership prices? I have a post box in northern washington so can buy and ship internal to USA. I decided to do this service myself after the following quote for the 100k km service at my local western canadian stealership: Oil change - $260 Diff/Transfer case - $300 Auto transmission change - $330 +12% tax here in BC. ouch ouch ouch!!!! |

Which stealership quoted you $260 for an oil change? I had the one I purchased my Jeep from quoting around $160 a couple years ago and I thought that was obscene. $260 is extremely ridiculous. |

Drive over the boarder into the states and go to O'Reilly Auto Parts, in stock and spin on filter is dated so you know you not get recalled one. Three hints to avoid trouble. 1. Drive the filter seal in with a seal driver so it don't leak and suck air. 2. Tighten spin on filter 3/4 to 1 turn after gasket contact to prevent leak down while sitting overnight. 3. CRD Transmissions take 8 qts to refill, not 5 qts. |

When I replaced the TC and did Transgo shift kit, I used filters from Baldwin: http://catalog.baldwinfilter.com/startautoapps.html |

I know the FLAPS have after market ones....i thought I might be able to get MOPAR ones. Judging by the host of replies seems like everyone is just going for the aftermarket ones. I can get WIX just across the border - i'll do that. Thanks guys |

Just check the date on the filter and if it's within the last year, you're good to go. ![]() Oh BTW it was Mopar that had defective filters, not the after-market ones. |

For the trans service I would do it for $225 at my shop including filters and fluids, tax, hazard and supplies. The front and rear diff about 1 hour each, transfer .5 hr drain and refill, oil change .5 hour, thats 3 hours of work @ 55 hr = 165 plus fluid, filter, oil, tax, supplies and hazard. ultra black is included in shop supplies. |

I picked up my last filter kit at RockAuto. They have all inclusive shipping to Canada so there are no nasty surprises. If you can find a few like minded friends and place a group order the shipping can work out to be quite reasonable. |

A couple years ago, Mopar got stuck with a batch of junk trans filter kits. Stick with the name brands and not reboxed crap pulled out of the Mopar dumpsters, some of which was sold online on eBay. I got Wix from O'Relley both times, no problems. |
