well as the title says, i was wondering what trannsmission the crd motor is mounted too. i doubt its the same as the 3.7. And to do the swap in the 3.7 Model what would i need too do other the wiring and ecm etc is there anything spring wise. is the motor heavier than the 6 cylinder>? and is there and swap thread on here that i havent came across. |

Moved your post to the general CRD section, TECH is for howto's and such. For starters: the CRD engine doesn't fit in the 3.7 because the front diff is in the way. So you need a different cradle and different CV's so you can move the D30a out of the way. If you don't have a CRD Libby as a donor, I wouldn't even think about it. |

Theres a bunch of stuff different, unless you have a rolled donor and a nice 3.7 its just better to buy a CRD and be done with it. |

Yeah your looking at alot of time since the whole wiring harness would have to be swapped over also, not a fun job. |

Sounds like he should so a Solid Front axle at the same time... Then he wouldn't have the worries of the D30a.
