ever since i had a flush down with new filters from a trans shop, it has been slowly leaking trans fluid. we took it back to the shop and they found a bolt that wasn't completely torqued. re torqued it and drove home. went on vacation and the darn thing leaked worse this time. i drove it around and came home, i could actually see the fluid coming out of the drivers (rear side) of the trans through the gasket. thoughts??? |

The pan is either warped, the bolts are drawn down and cone shaped the holes so there is a gap, or they did not clean the sealing surfaces, or all of the above. Good luck getting them to fix it. |

Those pan bolts are aluminum and only should be torqued to 8-9lbs-ft.If RTV was used once it starts leaking tightening the bolts will not make it stop leaking,it must be dropped, cleaned, and resealed. It's also key to use the correct RTV,Never had a issue with Ultra Gray and the dealership has special RTV made for being exposed to ATF(about $8 per tube). |

I find it easy to just use the pan gasket that comes with the filter kit. |
