The AC runs when the heater is on to dehumidify the air
Bi-level, floor and defrost positions all turn on the AC.
Vents only do not
Nothing new here as cars have worked this way since the 1970's

I just recently picked up a 06 KJ CRD and noticed today as I am parked on a hill that water is dripping and it appears to be coming from the hose that looks like it is a drain from inside the cab. I am guessing that this is normal condensation but it sure seems to be a lot of water on the ground after it has sat for a few hours. Maybe a cup or two of water on the ground. It's about 50dg outside and had the heater on low on the way to work. Thanks for any advise. 1st time poster!! Just joined today |
