I think my turbo is going out. I am experiencing a loss of power with a vibration during acceleration. Also I can hear a whining noise during certain speeds and RPMs, kinda like a bearing going out. I pulled into a gas station last night and there was a lot of smoke so I shut it off. I have not seen smoke since. When I purchased the vehicle my credit union offered an extended warranty that covers the turbo. So I am inclined to take it to the dealer. I have read that the GDE turbo is a much more superior product. Is there any way to have that turbo installed and still be covered by my warranty? thanks in advance for any help. |

The GDE turbo kit will not be covered under the warranty as it is an aftermarket part. Since you have the extended warranty a dealer visit would be worthwhile. Hope it turns out well. |
