 Post subject: timing belt

My lib CRD is at 88k miles, i'm fixing to replace the timing belt. Does anyone know where I can find step by step procedure and illustrations of it on the web? also, advices from those whose done it already is much appreciated. thnx :BANANA:

your local library will have or should have access to mitchells you only need about 4 or 5 pages with the illustrations it is very detailed. I did mine last October at 139k if you have a few special tools like a pulley spanner wrench to hold the crankshaft pulley while you remove the bolt it is not to bad. You will also need the camshaft locking pins, and I used some white touch up paint to mark the pulleys and the fuel pump so I new after I replaced the belt and turned the engine a couple of revolutions everything still matched up. and I could still install the camshaft locking pins again. Then you re adjust the tensioner pulley back to its proper position. I think the hardest part of the whole job was removing the fan and then the shroud. Once you get that out of the way there is lots of room to remove all of the timing belt cover bolts. Good luck
