I bought a boost gauge and plan on tapping the intake elbow to attach the sensor. To make life a bit easier (or a lot harder, depending on how you look at it) I plan on removing the elbow so I can clean any metal shavings out along with the 6 years worth of sludge. I read a post here saying that a new gasket was needed for re-installation. I know the general rule of thumb is to always replace gaskets when re-installing any part, but for this one specifically, do you think I could get away with simply reusing the existing one? I ask because I’m cheap and find $10 for shipping a $3 part to be really annoying. (And my local dealer’s parts department is always closed before I get home from work.)

So I ask those who have removed the intake elbow… What did you do? Replace or reuse?

Thanks!
