Being the 'new' owner of a unmodified '05 CRD with 76k miles, I'm quite worried about the amount of oil that has collected in the CAC. This, compounded by the many posts about EHM and Provent mods and my personal experience in warranty work on diesel engines (where we joked about how the turbo oil seals were so bad they should put a drain on the CAC), means I'm looking for a way to drain my charge air cooler. Maybe I just dreamed it last night, but I could have sworn I saw something while pouring over the forums that someone mentioned how to drain the CAC. Am I totally off here?
Other options?
Remove CAC, fill with solvent (kerosene?), shake, drain and bake off the kerosene?
