So I get the tranny shudder every once in a while, it usually happens if I accelerate past 60 and then let the speed drop back to around 60. For those who have experienced the tranny shudder this is not interesting I presume. However I have found a fix for it, at least for my CRD. When the tranny starts to shudder I turn off the overdrive, let the tranny downshift, shortly after it downshifts the torque converter will lock up, after that I turn the overdrive back on, let it upshift, the torque converter stays locked and no shudder.
