No clue how they attach, cannot immediately see them when I crawl under, but if the leak is such that it's not repairable the cheap fix is to install an auxiliary transmission cooler to function in place of the factory tranny cooler that's integrated into the bottom of, if memory serves, the radiator which makes the tranny cooler expensive to replace.

FYI Sir Sam reports good results in leak repair on the intercooler with JB Weld. If your leak is a small crack or hole that might work.

Just an FYI, the transmission fluid in normal operation can reach 95 psi :dizzy: so be carefull with any hose and clamp type fixes.

The stock transmission cooler is part of the AC condensor :SOMBRERO:

Sir Sam in his noob guide gives a link to a fsm that you can download.

Usually they are released by special little inexpensive tools for such fittings. Heres one example.

You need the correct ones for your application. Some are even made of plastic and actually work really well

X2, Mine is not leaking yet, but the tubing is very loose in the fitting on the passenger side. I discovered it while replacing the short section of rubber hose on that side, which was leaking at the factory hose crimp. I do not think the hose is long enough for adequate flexing on that side. The FSM shows a special three pronged fitting tool which I could not find locally.

Any newbies attempting to replace a rubber hose transmission hose; DO NOT just cut the tubing and slip on a new piece of hose, you must retain the barbed flair on the end of tubing. Use a Dremel cut off wheel to cut through the sheet metal crimped on clamp over hose and then pry off with a screw driver. Make sure that you replace with rubber hose rated for transmission use, it will say it on the hose.
