Ok I found gasket kind blown out side figured ok I will do oil change. Now it's doing the exact same thing drizzling 1/4 oil on ground. I tightened the filter pretty good thinking this would solve the issue but still doing it. I checked oil level and it's off the scale? Should I wait 24 hours then check oil level. Any recommendations on filters so I can rule out problem with MOPAR filters. Napa gold on to try next. This is my sisters jeep and helping her keep it going. She mentioned hitting shovel on freeway could this have bent oil filter housing and not damaged the filter?

Hey how about the housing the filter screws on can this be replaced? Area has oil all over and hard to really see what is going on if there was a crack. Any diagrams out there

Let's try simple fix first...... Did u make sure the old gasket was off before putting new filter on???? Common and easy thing to overlook.

The Mopars always seeped oil on my CRDs. I switched to Mobil 1 M1-301 and they don't leak.

I installed new wix from Oriely's I do not think it is gold filter found at napa. Has smaller diameter and nothing inside filter like many other brands. Factory has a metal thing in center with hole in middle, fram has a flat metal face, wix appears wide open like standard filter. I do see some oil on back side filter mounting base no idea where it is comming from.
