Sorry, not from a Canadian wreck.
We have large kmh on the outside ring, small mph on the inside ring.

As nearly as I can tell from the 2002 FSM (http://colorado4wheel.com/manuals/Jeep/KJ/) you would have to switch the entire instrument cluster for a new one or one from a wreck. The cluster apparently comes in 2 versions; 1) mph as primary with kph as an inner ring of #s on the speedo in which case the odometer reads miles only or 2) kph as primary with mph as an inner ring of #s on the speedo in which case the odometer reads kph only.

I don't know about the 2002 EVIC (heads up display in the ceiling by the rear view mirror) but on the 2005-06 that unit is self programmable for US vs. metric units of measure.

Well there must be a third cluster because my 2007 KJ CRD has a dial with only kilometres on it (no mph at all - as god intended :) ).

You could try an source one from an Australian wrecker like: Poly4x4, Jeep Parts Recyclers, or Mascot Motors.

Oi! And I'll bet you drive on the wrong side of the road too, since you aren't using the Queen's measurements like we in the colonies still are! (at least we know which side of the road to drive on, unlike those crazy Nigels in Blighty)
