Post subject:  OEM Seat Cover Part Number Issue

I am trying to order an OEM replacement leather seat cover for the driver's seat bottom of our 2005 KJ CRD Ltd. Using the 2005 parts CD I have, I have narrowed the part number down to either:

1BB51 1DBAA

or,

1BB51 1D1AA

Can anyone help to determine which number is the right one?

Thanks,

I don't know, but there sure is a pretty big price difference between the two.

Happen to know if you can get replacements for the foam bolsters? My covers are in fine shape but the foam at the outside hips is falling apart from the inside.

I could use both the cover and the foam. I did not think it was possible to order these parts.

I too am experiencing the same problem with a ripped driver side seat cover.

My driver side leather seat cover has started to crack on the side of the seat closest to the door.

I went to an upholstery shop in town that works on boat and auto upholstery repair and got a quote of $75.00 to repair the tare on the side of the seat.

They told me that the sides of the seat are not made of leather but instead are made of a plastic composition fabric that simulates leather, this fabric tends to wear out quickly. The center part of the seat is made of leather and is not damaged.

He mentioned that the fake leather sides will deteriorate quickly and suggested replacing them with real leather to match the center part for an extra 150 dollars for ea seat, I opted out since the passenger side seat is still in good shape.

Well, the list is $669! Best price so far is about $450. I will probably have a local trim shop make a new one for about $300, installed, from high quality real leather.

BTW, this is just for ONE seat BOTTOM cushion.

What a rip!!! Literally. They call it the Stealership for a reason. Sounds like I'm going to get some seat covers instead.
