Post subject:  Thinking of buying CRD

Hello I currently have a 99 wj 4.7 And am thinking of buying a crd I was looking at a 05 crd sport for $10,674 with on the clock 113,852 I test drove it and love it but i was wondering is that a fair price it is from a dealer? I have been looking for a while and they are rare around where I am from

Read the NOOB guide. My gut says the price is a bit on the high side BUT it might be reasonable if you can get documentation that the full 100,000 mile service was done (serpentine belt, timing belt, water pump, pulleys, etc). If that service has not been done you are looking at a fair chunck of change ($700-1,200 or so DYI vs. dealer) that will have to be invested like right now as timing belt failure equals engine catastrophy.

I agree it is a good price if those things have been done, otherwise you need to negotiate those into the price. These things are really hard to find. Finding them cheap is even harder. In the last two years mine has been the only one for sale within 100-200 miles. T
hat first test drive where you think this thing is great lasts more than the first test drive. When talking price bring up the window issue and the EGR and everything else you can find on the internet that goes wrong, because it can't hurt.

I think im going to do it it is super clean and I can not find them any ware I don't think its a bad price besides the belt how are these with miles I plan on keeping this till it dies
