My 2006 CRD just quit it on me. Had it in standstill for approx 45 minutes and as I tried to start it the engine just won't crank. All lights on the dashboard are ok, but as I turn the ignition nothing happens - it's plain dead. Anyone familiar with this issue?? |

there's are interlocks that keeps it from starting if it's in the wrong gear (also checks brake pedal) check cables, wires around the shifter and the brake pedal |

Start by checking the battery first. |
