EDIT:

Now with pics of the new Jeep!

Taking a trip this weekend, anyone on the way? I'll probably just cruise past, but I figured I would see if anyone was along the way in the event of a "mechanical incident"

The way over is fine, but on the way back you have lots of toll roads.

Ya its been about 5 years since I've been that way. At the time though I think it cost me $5 to drive across the whole state of indiana on I80, well, maybe it was 10 since I was towing a car.

Hi Sir Sam, During step #20, passing around Wheeling WV on I-470 you will be only 10 minutes from my house. You are more than welcome to stop by. If you have any jeep troubles within a few hours distance of me, call (304) 232-7929. I should be finishing up my 3rd timing belt/water pump job by this Friday, so the garage will be empty if needed.

You will only be 1.5 hours from GDE when you pass through Toledo, OH. We have a nice TJ Scrambler CRD conversion in process you could check out if needing a break from the highway.

Oh man, as cool as that would be, I think I would like to be 3 hours further home. Would be interesting to compare notes on some of the conversion details between a TJ and my XJ/MJ.

That and we could discuss some ECU calibration details.........hmmm

When you go by Harrisburg PA on the wonderfull Pennsylvania turnpike you will be about 30 minutes north of my house. I won't be home this weekend though I will be camping up between Scranton PA and the New York state line. I will be so nice to get away. Hope you have a safe trip with no mechanical events and that I do also.

If you have problems around Akron, Ohio I would be willing to help out a saddle sore jeeper. I may not have the most or best tools, but I would be willing.

I am in Indianapolis right off the interstate if you get in trouble. Be aware tooo that even tho they dont post it the gas stations on the highway in IN dont give u that posted diesel price. have to have a dot number. cheapest gas in Indy is on the west side. also when you are going through pa. the last stops out of the state are the cheapes on diesel. exit 235 or something like that
