Started working on installing my provent this last weekend, and I'm working on a few ideas. First, got it shipped from reliable industries for 145, they were a lot of help. Second, I tried reusing some of the 3/4 reinforced hose that I was using for EHM, but even after a few thousand miles it is becoming stiff, almost brittle. Trying to figure out what hose size to use because 3/4 is a little too big, but 5/8 is too small. I found some 12 AN fuel hose 4.90 per foot (or I could get steel braided Third, I have been playing with reduction fittings on the provent itself. I have some brass 1" to 3/4" barb fittings that I used BLACK RTV to secure. At first, the fittings pulled out on install because of the stiff hose I am using. I reinstalled using some small self-tapping screws. If that doesn't hold, I am just going to do 1" ID hose and clamp over the provent and CCV hose. Lastly, I haven't decided on the mounting location. I like the look of it by the overflow tank, but there are some tight hose turns and very close to the turbo hose. Over by the battery doesn't seem to look as OEM but should be an easier install. I'll post some pictures once I install |

For some reason I thought PVC was not good to use because of the oil vapors... But I saw those earlier and they do look clean! |

Bought 5 feet of hose for 25 dollars total. Decided on keeping the filter by the radiator overflow tank. I'll try and rough BOTH hoses under the tank, then I will work on a bracket. |
