Caterpillar, Cummins, Navistar, John Deere, and Detroit all produce some wet sleeve engines. I would bet a Tech who works on one of the above would be better than others when it comes time to rebuild. For other stuff like emissions and fuel systems stuff, Dodge Cummins, Duramax, and Sprinter techs would know what is going on. Can you pull the engine, strip off the Manifolds and other stuff and send it to a rebuild shop, or do you need some place where you can drop off the keys? There are good rebuild shops who can do the inside engine stuff, but don't pull the engine from the vehicle.
