I have to replace the rivets on the rear parking brake support of a 2006 CRD Limited. In order to clean out the old rivets i had to loosen the caliper support nuts (in addition to pulling the axle shaft) so I could push the rivet through.

Does anyone know the torque specs for the caliper support nuts? The service manual says to tighten the front caliper support nuts to 135NM (100 ft.lbs) on page 5-24 but it doesn't mention anything about the rear caliper support.

Also, does anyone know what size rivets are used with the parking brake support?

This is a horrible design.

Welcome to LOST
Since this is not a CRD specific problem you may have better results in the general section.
