I've been talking with fatweasel, I want to buy it but I don't have the funds to proceed until I sell my current CRD.

The dealer doesn't want to take a stab at fixing it?

I would strongly suggest a magnaflux check of that cylinder liner, I'm not convinced that it is cracked with just the normal piston action. The piston doesn't look like the damage extends to the edges, which means just the head of the piston needs to be replaced.

I have a good piston head, my #3 and #4 pistons were undamaged in the engine failure I had. Clean it with a ultrasonic bath and use new rings, and it should be perfect in there. And we all know about my spare head, so that solves that. If his lifters are all good to go... Then its just wrenching.

I'd take this one (or at least take a GOOD look into it) if I had the cash to do it... But I'm only halfway there, and that doesn't include transport. I don't think he is gonna sell this to just anyone, reasonable people with no knowledge of the CRD aren't gonna touch this with a 10' pole.

So are there any CRD owners looking to start a fleet?

I'd love it, but I don't have the room.
