Long story, I ordered my skid plates from JBA. Well he was out and Skid Row was out but nobody told me. They had my money for a long time before the plates showed up. When they did, the box with the trans plate had directions and hardware. Two days later the T-Case box came and it didnt have directions or hardware. I took the truck to a shop to have them installed and they told me the T-case plate and Trans plate holes didnt match up and they had to modify them. They spoke with Skid Row about something I dont know what. Becase of the modification the installation cost me more than it should have. Included in that price was 19.00 for hardware for the T-case that I didnt get from Skid Row.

Has anyone else in the CRD world experienced this? This shope isnt new. They do a lot of work on 4x4's so I tend to take them at their word.

All in all the experience has SUCKED BIG TIME!

CRD's are a whole different ballgame with aftermarket parts like skid plates.I now my plates fit like a glove and none came with hardware but no biggie as I already bought some M10x1.5 bolts anyways(cost a whole $5 for 50 of them).

Thanks TJ. So youre saying even though the Skid Row site says, "including CRD's" it isnt surprising to you that the Tcase and Trans holes didnt match up?

Gas to CRD the only real difference should be the Tranny pan - needs the same skid plate as the 02-04 V6 - not the 05-07 - although that's from All-J's on their no longer made SuperSkid -
don't know about Skid row but I'd expect them to be the same.

Engine, transfer case, fuel tank skids should all be the same
(and all the Mopar skids are the same)

They should have but anything is possible.Your CRD may have had some uniframe damage or the rear crossmember was not centered(from TC replacements?) causing the plates not to line up.

After looking at it Im afraid that maybe the shop screwed up. They didnt mount the tcase plate flush with the cross member and therefore the tcase trans plate holes didnt line up. darn it!

I've got the full Skid Row setup on my '06 CRD (also ordered from JBA and I installed 'em in July), and everything matched up just fine....super easy to install, too, even with the 2 holes I had to drill through the crossmember. Methinks your shop didn't get something quite right. (Although how hard can a 3-piece jigsaw puzzle be?)
