I am Looking to replace (Up grade) my Torque Converter. I looked at Suncoast but don"t really want to spend $700.00 on one. Who Has a good replacement that I won't have to worry about? The transmission was replaced last year and starting to have problems again. Thanks

Plus it is now a rebuild and they raised the price making the Suncoast price look better.
Another option is to have yours rebuilt with better friction material and better dampener springs.
To be honest Sonnax sells parts to any one who pays for them, so you can build what you want.
Suncoast buys Sonnax parts that meet their specs and do the job when they build the converters they sell.
Please don't ask what Suncoast or other custom builders use for the stator, rotors, or turbines that is like buying a suit to wear to a Funeral or wedding and returning it to the store.

Euro guts exposed in this post: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=51892&hilit=+Euro
Now you can have a better than Euro built in your local TC rebuild shop.

I believe that number has been updated.

new # RL037142aa
this is not a reman unit
as told to me by chrysler parts specifier
this is the same converter as 68037142aa
it is a relabeled part # RL037142aa see the similarity in the npart #S
re-labeld means thy want core to build stock for future shortages then it will go to a rm#
all chrysler reman parts start with RM
by the way there is one 68037142aa converter left in us stock
its at a dealer in vermont.

MODS - CAN THIS BE A STICKY???? I spent plenty of time researching and called the dealer with the old parth number. They gave me the correct one. When i searched the new number on the site, this post came up. With all the TC issues on these little beasts, this would be great up at the top!

You only indicated that you are having "transmission problems". We need a lot more details if we are going to try to help.
