was getting ready to do my first oil change on my crd and wanted to check which filter the previous owner used. when I knelt down I found some wet oil all around the filter - I took some pics:    the jeep has been parked for 2 days and there are NO drips on the floor anywhere. the oil level is about the same as when I bought it a couple months ago (just above MIN line). any idea what's going on, where is that oil coming from? |

just did trannny in mine. replaced the rear main seal also. still got leak . i suspect breather filter on top of valve cover. your leak looks just like mine

My CRD has a slow oil leak from the return oil line coming off the turbo. The oil collects and slowly drips off the lower tube bend and gets blown against the engine block and pan. Not enough to worry about. |
