Went to rescue daughter in town after her CRD would not start after setting overnight 40 deg. outside. First thing that I did was bleed a lot of air out fuel filter head. Then after a long crank it started, no Check Engine Light. Ran fine then a few minutes later it did a rough 2-3 shift, not once but about three times rapidly. Then the Check Engine Light came on and went into limp mode. After getting home I retrieved a code P0700 "transmission control malfunction". I disconnected the battery for a minute then reconnected battery and took a test drive. Check Engine Light went out and transmission shifting is back to normal.
Any suggestions?

P0700 means there is a code in the Transmission Control Module. Next time this code shows up, check the TCM for any codes and go from there.
