So excited!!! I just got the email confirmation saying my GDE tuner was put in the mail today and should be here by the 5th. Now time to save up for a TC.

GDE has a tuner for the TCM now? Be careful not to let the TC shudder. It occurs at 55-58 mph on part throttle. You can "drive around" the problem by using more throttle to effect a downshift, or by backing way off. As long as you avoid the "shudder zone", you won't hurt anything. Doing this will make waiting a year for an upgraded TC no problem at all.

You can also switch off o/d - that seems to work too.

GDE has a tune for the TCM but not a tuner (e.g. you have to send your TCM in to GDE to get the tune). I have it and like it. Stock torque convertor (not sure which one as the F-37 is listed as having been done on my CRD but they did not do the F-37 shift point flash) with no problems but then I have a light foot and don't tow over 2500-3000lbs and then only on flat H. Florida roads.

Your 05 CRD was pre 11/2/05 so the TC has definetly been replaced by the post 11/2/95 one. It would have failed long ago :juggle:
There was some kind of "new" cushion thing on the lockup clutch that the diesel torque quickly destroyed in just a few thousand miles. The post 11/2/05 TC had the older style one without the cushion :JEEPIN:
More then a few owners requested their dealer not do the flash part of the F37 and the dealers obliged. Partly because many ECM's and TCM's were getting locked up while doing flashes so if a customer requested it was fairly common to forget that step
As it turned out the flashes took so long the battery voltage was going too low and the computers were locking up. :dizzy:
