53k miles on an '06. I'll be a long time wearing this thing out unless the turbo sucks the oil out along the way.

As much as I've put into mine with just a tad over 80,000mi and with the recent turbo failure.........gotta say, I'm not very optimistic that she'll see 200,000 before I run it off the cliff!!!!! Talk about a love/hate relationship if there ever was one. That being said, once I add the lift pump and oil pressure/boost/pyro/and tranny temp..........there's not a whole lot that can really go wrong with it that is a common problem for others. I'll officially become a 1%, meaning that it'll be a weird item that's unknown to cause trouble, cause 99% of everything else had been taken care of.

Did anyone else hear something? All I heard was "bla bla bla troll growl bla bla bla "yes, tjkj we all now you have a hard on for the gas motor. How many gallons of crd haterade do you need to consume before you are satisfied? I value your opinion in other parts of the forum but not here, it just sounds like diesel envy :dead:

Just hit 154,000 miles, and climbing at the rate of about 110 miles per week day.

Second owner, bought with 23,000 miles.

Change oil every 6500ish miles.

On turbo #3. First went at 65k (or did it?) was covered under warranty but they installed turbo #2 incorrectly. Which was most likely the cause of its failure around 125k. My one year warranty on turbo #3 from Turbo Charger Pros has just expired.

Its been my daily driver for 4 years now, and aside from the turbo issues, its been very good to me. The plan has been to keep it until it dies, but with what people are paying for these things even with high miles, it makes me wonder if maybe I should be thinking of selling it.

Up to 111,000 miles and approaching 40k miles on SVO. 60 miles each way to work. Change the oil every other month the last two times and that is normally about every 5000 miles. Rotella T6.

My 06 Liberty died last weekend with 168K on her. Jill the beep beep Jeep is not yet out to pasture though. We are scouting out a for an engine to put in her or looking to rebuild it so we can drive another 100k! We'll see what happens. Thus far we've been quoted $4700 and $5600 for a rebuilt engine.

SOrry to hear about the mishap.

If you don't mind me asking, I would like to know what caused the engine to die?

If I remember correctly, wasn't your vehicle the one that was suffering from an undetechtable coolant leak and that you it still needed the timing belt work to be done at 130,000 miles?

I started her up like I normally would after unplugging, and went back out 10 minutes later to go to work. When I backed up, it stuttered (anyone who has had a clogged fuel filter knows what I'm talking about) so I floored her and took off down the street. A block later, she died. Wouldn't turn over, nothin. The battery tested low, so we went and got a new one. New battery will get a crank on her but while cranking husband hears "bad noise". After talking to the guy at Green Diesel Engineering (one of the nicest and helpful diesel mechanics in the world), we were told she was probably hydrolocked and when she was turned over, she threw a rod. An oil pan of antifreeze says we are screwed.

So I did what any jeep lover does...looked for another diesel and no luck on our area...so I went and bought an 08 Liberty gasser to use (welcome to the family Jan the beep beep Jeep) until the 06 has a new to us engine in her.

Yep, I'm the timing belt at 130K. We got the timing belt done, the water pump done and the serpentine belt done right after that post. We've never had any other issues. Love that Jeep.
