Man I couldn't possibly think VW could make a more uglier car the the Beetle but they suceded with the new redesigned Beetle's  .

That is one ugly car,had one come into the shop today for snow tires.Only good thing is they made changing the headlight bulbs much easier but that is about it.

I thought I read that the purpose was to make it more masculine, the original "new" beetle only sold well to females or something.

Well the original was ugly, the remake was uglier, and the new redesign is just horrible.

Did they at least get rid of the vase? No man would buy a car with a vase built in

In my opinion, VW’s entire lineup is unattractive. Image As much as I love diesel, I couldn’t bring myself to buy one of their diesel cars even for fuel economy purposes.Image

It's certainly not the Nissan Juke. :5SHOTS:

Oh so true. My aunt just got one of those and loves the way it looks. I think it's hideous.

Back on topic, the Beetle looks kind of disproportionate in the pictures. The hood looks too long. Does it look even worse in person? I haven't seen one yet

:ROTFL: Glad I'm not the the only one that thinks the Nissan Juke is Honorably ugly...so is the Cube too.

the New Beettle is not so bad. I would rather have a Jetta TDI than any other VW

Yes they got rid of the vase (!!!).
Cept for various non turbo, pre ECM and IDI diesel cars and light trucks from the 80's Volkswagen (and Audi) and Mercedes was the only ones with available oilburners all along in the States.

I have an 06 PD TDI Jetta and love it. I like the way it looks and hope to run it into the 250,000+ miles range.

I never really liked the Bug look but the newer one is more appealing. Never really liked the MB look either but I would not turn away on a good deal on an older MB 240D if I ran across one.

The wife is getting the FS SUV bug again and we will probly end up with a T-Reg V6 diesel dulling out over 410 Ft/Lbs torque and 30 MPG. So what if I have to buy urea! With the present frame design JK and JKU will still be rated at only 3500 class II trailer weight towing and even with a diesel option it would be not enough truck for me.

Better looking than the new FIAT 500.
When I saw the FIAT 500 commercial, the best looking thing was J-LO's Butt :ROTFL:
For those to lazy to :google: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deNRiBQiQ3Q
At least VW did not feature Opra's Butt in their New New Beetle commercial :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ulbjaKmKG0

The Fiat 500 ad was on TV the other day...... not so cool too soft. now I think the 500 is a chick car.

The VW ad was much cooler with the Ram Jam song that rocks. looks much better than the old beetle. more manly for sure and if the vase is gone then I might drive it.

I just seen there is no TDI engine offered this time around!!!!!

If they offered the DI Turbo gasser (Spark assisted want a be diesel), like the Ford EcoBoost, it would have Diesel torque, almost diesel fuel economy, great performance, and with a manual transmission, an IED (Dual Mass Flywheel) in the bell housing. :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
