Replaced my factory CAC hoses with SAMCO's and recommended clamps about 6 months ago. Anyone else having problems with them weeping oil?
Tried cleaning and re tightening the connections but no luck.

Yes, my Samcos weep oil pretty bad at the plastic intercooler connections, which makes for a slippery connection that can come off. I know, I now carry tools to replace them. The extra spongy thickness of the Samcos makes it difficult for me to judge the proper clamping pressure and I'm scared of crushing the plastic connections.

For what it's worth my Samcos have been on for nearly 8k miles with zero leakage. I did use the Samco clamps although I think the OEM clamps would have been fine assuming they are large enough. During the install I made sure both ends of the Samcos were pushed all the way onto the fittings (on the intercooler plastic fittings that means all the way up to the raised stop on the fitting); made sure the clamps were over that portion of the Samcos between the stop and the raised end of the fitting (e.g. not on or immediately adjacent to the raised end); tightened the clamps with a nut driver (IMHO a screwdriver rarely gets worm clamps tightened properly) until snug followed by an extra twick but no godzilla (cannot give you a torque figure but think inch pounds not foot pounds); and checked them for tightnesss after about 50 miles.

I won't say you cannot crush the plastic fitting but the only way I know how is to not have the hose fully on the fitting and/or to place the clamp right over the raised end of the fitting maybe partially off the fitting. Been there done that on the airbox to turbo hose.

If you have a leak I'd pull the leaky end(s) off clean the interior end of the hose with like kersoine, diesel, or mineral spirits (nothing like acetone or laquer thinner or gasoline); dry solvent completely; reinstall with less worry about the plastic fittings. I say to clean because I suspect once the leak starts it's going to continue.

Don't forget the old hair spray trick.

Spray the outside of the plastic end from the intercooler with hairspray and reinstall before it gets too tacky.

Once it dries it will help hold the hoses on.

My Samco's started weeping oil awhile back. Turns out my elephant hose had gotten plugged. This built up crankcase pressure and forced oil out through the turbo bushing seals. I knew I had a problem when I noticed the occasional puff of white smoke.
