Good Morning....I just talked with a trailer rental place. I apparently need a brake controller to haul a 6 x 12 trailer for some bulky equipment. Does anyone know if the trailer package on the CRD include the 12 volt wiring for the trailer braking unit?

P>S...just checked the tech section and there isn't anything on brake controllers.....rats!

Thanks,

Here's another wrtite up that explains things :SOMBRERO:
http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/showthread. ... tite+hitch

If you have the factory installed trailer package then there will 12 volts at the 7 pin plug and a wire labled "brake" by the driver's left kick panel. There's no plug ready for a brake controler though :banghead: You'll need to run plus and minus 12 volts and hook into the stop light switch :dizzy:

If you have the dealer installed unit it's a toss up what the tech installed when he did it. If you have an EVIC then our good.
See the above link and read it all :juggle:
