Does anyone know which Miller tool is used to check compression?

Thank you very much, Sir Sam. My brother and I just rebuilt the motor and it is hard to start and has No power until boost and then seems to run ok if a bit weak. Lots of pre boost smoke. Rail pressure is 5000psi and turbo was rebuilt. Gauge shows 18 lbs of boost peak but this could be due to low compression. We think we may have used too thick of head gasket. There were 3 choices. Egr has been shut off and cat removed. Timing was double checked and don't believe thats the culprit because it runs VERY smooth from idle to redline. Would love to hear other possibilities as we have exhausted our knowledge on this great little diesel.
