The transgo kit fixes the drainback issue in the front pump. As long as it is not leaking into the bell housing, you do not need to replace it. The rest of the transgo kit gets put in the valve body. It firms up the shifts a little bit. Just do not use the silly $0.02 resistor that comes with the transgo kit. This resistor is supposed to increase the fluid pressure, but all it leads to is jerky shifting.
Also be very careful when removing the 2 snap rings on the front pump cover. I was not careful enough and bent the cover. This set me back 2 days waiting for the part.
Also do not forget some blue loctite for the torque converter bolts and for some of the bolts in the valve body.
