Hi all, I bought a cheepo ELM327 interface...now I need a scantool. (software)

I tried piratebay and it came up with nothing. I tried scantool.net 1.14 which doesn't work with my interface because it's not theirs.

Then I tried AutoDoctor which does work but says 'unknow vehicle' when I connect my KJ...(had a good scare too when suddenly my Lib said 'NO BUS'..fixed that by turning off the ignition and with the OBD plug disconnected it went back to normal..pffew..)

Help?

can just use the TORQUE app if you have an android phone. Not sure if you already knew or not.

I use a version of scantool.net that seems to be okay for my reader.
I think that the older 1.13 version was not reader specific.

I think EasyOBD II, OBD-Diag and wOBD may still be free.

I am still in the 19th century using windows XP on a laptop and I still have a cellphone with buttons to push if you want to call someone...

Edit: it works with the interface, now all I have to do is connect it to a Jeep..

If you are still in the 19th century, your diesel has a carburetor with a small cylinder on top to inject the mixture into the cylinders (Please post your pics). Later in the early 20th century (1909), injection pumps replaced the carburetor and the extra small cylinder on top was history.
