Can someone give me some direction?
Engine oil leak somewhere. Originally found small oil leak beneath 2005 Liberty CRD 4wd soon after replacing EGR valve. Put the infrared additive in oil to find leak. Found nondescript oil leak in left front on hoses beneath the radiator area. Thought it may be coming from the intermediate cooler. Now I find a mist of engine oil on the left side of the engine on the hose going to the intermediate cooler. Also beneath there is a run of old oil leaking down onto the starter and blowing back from air onto the front of the transmission and onto the belly plates. Once there it goes everwhere as it accumulates in the belly plates and is blown everywhere. Soooo, I removed the belly plates for now so I can find where the leak is located. There may be more than one leak. There is a mist of oil coming from the intermediate cooler air hoses on both sides of the cooler. Is this coming from the turbo on the right(passenger) side? If so, is this due to a restriction or blown seals on the turbo? Engine runs normal and has good power just this aggravating oil leak. Using a quart about every 300-500 miles depending on how hard you drive it.
Also, I find, periodically, no pattern with the oil leak, a reddish oily leak on the left front cement also. The only thing which has red oily fliud is the transmission and the power steering fluid. Found the power steering fluid level down just a small bit so refilled and I think I can find that one, maybe unless someone has had that same trouble before can steer me directly to a worn o-ring somewhere that may be common the these guys.

It would be a good idea to invest in some engine degreaser; coat entire engine top/bottom; let sit a bit; RINSE off (low flow no high pressure lest you get water in electical fittings). It's easier to see leaks on a clean engine.

Not sure what you mean by intermediate cooler. Intercooler? If so could the turbo hose clamps or just weaping thru the hoses or a leak in the upper corner of the intercooler where there is some tendancey to crack (see Sams timing belt intercooler repair post). Oil on starter if I have location right could be weaping from turbo oil tubes.

Red stuff (clarify side of engine based on driver vs. passenger side - left/right depends on where you are viewing from) could be from transmission quick disconnect fittings.

Since you are also seeing red fluid, check your transmission cooler hoses where they attach to the steel lines directly behind the radiator at the bottom above the frame cross member. I had to replace the hoses on both of my CRDs, one hose was loose enough that you could rotate it around where it was clamped with that goofy crimp. Unfortunately you have to remove the fan and it's shroud to get to the hoses to repair.
