I want to replace the banjo fitting on the inlet side of the Fuel Head with a better made aftermarket one if available. Bolt thread diameter would work as I can reuse the bolt I believe.

Anyone done this? I guess I could do another filter install like the Racor but that is more $

Yes I can take it off and measure, but I am at work now and wondering what the size is and if anyone knows.

If I find anything that I think will fit I will update.

This might be a source.

It's 14mm bolt.

So there should be plenty of "bling" banjo barb adapters since that is a common turbo oil inlet size.

Has lots of fittings for good prices.

Is winging its way to me now.

I found that after changing my fuel filter that the darn hose was leaking around the barb fitting on the inlet side of the fuel head. The fix has been to locate the "injector" style (smooth) hose clamp RIGHT over the bulb of the barb. The tube is undersized for a 3/8" hose. None of the other fittings on my fuel path from the Posi-flo lift pump behind the battery leak and there are 3 other 3/8" barb-1/8NPT fittings (aftermarket) and they all have no hint of leaking since they are the proper tube diameter that the hose clamps can do their darn job.

I don't trust the hose clamp to stay on the barb bulb - so I am getting this better than OEM replacement.

I thought about going with -6AN fittings back to the outlet of the lift pump, but I want to be able to go back to stock very quickly if needed.

Well the one clamp I put on the hose barb slipped down due to vibration. The other one held the hose on,but again I had a slight leak.

My new fitting came today in the mail with the new crush washers. MUCH NICER of a BARB.

None of this undersized crap above a single bulb.

On the left is the OEM fitting, the right is the one I ordered that cost $5.

The hose actually had to be pushed onto the fitting instead of held on like on the OEM one. I reused my stock banjo bolt.

Preliminary testing with cycling the Posi-flo lift pump showed no leaks. Running it in the driveway also showed no leaks. We will see how the trip tomorrow goes. I am confident this is it for the fuel head inlet minor leaking at the hose.

Yep, fixed. Drove over 800 miles this weekend, half of that towing a motorcycle trailer to and from Columbus. No leak at the hose barb.
