Good Day,

I drove on the highway yesterday and stopped at a filling station to check the oil and water etc. I did not use the aircon at all but the pipes were all frozen up. is this normal? thewhole pipe was frozen from start to finish. and like i said i did not use the Aircon for even a second. below are the pics.

did you have the vent selector in Defrost?, defrost + feet or feet only i.e. all 3 of the right-most positions on the selector - turn on the AC to dehumidify the air.... (the light does not come on)

X2 to both of the above. Probably low on "freon" and you have the AC switch "off" but the vent selector on one of those positions that runs the AC compressor even when the AC switch is "off".

If you search kapalczynski's posts there is one where he rigged in a switch that would "really" turn the AC compressor off.
