Denso is made in Japan and should be great. I took mine apart the brushes looked fine, now part that plugs in to harness with alum heat sink might be problem! I could not get lead part off copper to investigate further. Wonder if we can order new heat sink and fix them |

Nothing better to do? #2 I haven't heard of anyone modding or "bypassing" their alternator. #3 I haven't even heard of that many alternators going bad. Just pulleys... |

Mines at ~165k and going strong, though I've replaced the clutch on it. Mark |

got mine done at http://www.maniacelectricmotors.com $122 including shipping they sent me a ups shipper for the core and turned it around in a day they do not have any cores both of my lib's had the pulley/clutch fail and the alt was fine |
