Denso is made in Japan and should be great. I took mine apart the brushes looked fine, now part that plugs in to harness with alum heat sink might be problem! I could not get lead part off copper to investigate further. Wonder if we can order new heat sink and fix them

I have never taken the Denso apart....the part with the alum heat sink must be the diode pack I presume. :?

#1 What's up with trolling in a forum for a vehicle you don't even own? Nothing better to do?
#2 I haven't heard of anyone modding or "bypassing" their alternator.
#3 I haven't even heard of that many alternators going bad. Just pulleys...

Mines at ~165k and going strong, though I've replaced the clutch on it.
