Post subject:  Gauge Placement ??'s

I just finished my 4 gauge pillar pod and I'm getting everything around to hook up my gauges.

First:
Trans temp- is there a plug anywhere to screw the probe in. Or does any company make an aftermarket pan with a spilt for a probe already in it like the bigger diesel trucks have. I don't feel comfortable tapping a hole, but if it's my only option I will do it

Second:
Exhaust temp- same as above. I wanna go pre turbo and was leaning towards using a tap and dye set on the manifold.

Third:
Boost gauge- I'm ordering samco hoses and I saw somewhere on here that has plugs or something that will work to put a probe in. If anyone has a link, I would greatly appreciate it.

On a side note. I can post pics of my fiberglass pillar pod that I made. I am wanting to make another one free of charge for whoever on here offers to change my timing belt when that time comes

I can post pics tomarrow. To be honest, I'm not really wanting to make these. I keep plenty busy with car audio customers. If I do make any for money they would be $325 painted and shipped to your door. I know it seems pricey but I'm proud of my work and I have $100 in materials and 12 or so hours of labor in mine

I suspect the link you are looking for relative to boost pressure is about 1/2 way down the discussion at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=51797&p=686170&hilit=boost+samco#p686170

Pod pics. The top square is for my stinger volt meter. I think I will be able to put 5 on a pod if wanted. Once again, I will make one for an experienced volunteer who will change my timing belt when the time comes(87k right now)

Not volunteering but you might have better luck getting volunteers if you posted where you are located.

Lol. Sorry, I need to update my profile.

I'm in Milford, il. It's about 100 miles south of Chicago. I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance

The piece I would do is up on the dash where the small tweeters are. Heck you would have plenty of room for as many gauges u wanted. I don't think it would block any view and you would still have your handle

Just got all my gauges put in. I'm waiting on mandrel bent cac's to hook my boost gauge up.
Once again, I will make a pillar pod for whoever provides the labor on my timing belt change.
