my crd has recently developed an oil leak on the passenger side, by the turbo.

It's awful hard to look up in there, but I think its from the oil return line.

Are there aftermarket solutions, or is it a factory part only? If so, what am I even looking for?

Thanks!

I had a motor oil leak at the turbo oil line return and fixed it by replacing the line gasket and grommet (about 80 buck total) and 1 hour on a sunday morning.

Do you still have the CCV system connected? Its that big puck on top of the back of the head (pull the plastic engine cover off to see it) and if you don't have or know what an EHM is... You have it connected.

It supplies oil mist to the turbo inlet, and the rest of your intake. Problem is, the airbox hose is natural rubber and is destroyed by this oil contamination. The oil can drain out from the turbo inlet through this ruined hose, and it will run down the turbo to the return line and can EASILY look like a damaged return line leak. If you haven't messed with the turbo before, you probably don't have a bad return line. Pull that airbox hose first and have a look.

If (when) it is destroyed and all jelly mess... Its a $60 dealer-only part. Replace it, then do an EHM mod to prevent that nonsense from happening again.
