This is for those CRD'ers that never leave this section.

Any shop using Safety Kleen's Khameleon antifreeze is the correct HOAT coolant for your Jeep. It's brite yellow and has a very bad smell. As far as I know not a product you can get at a auto parts store.

Never heard of the stuff but the specs do say it's HOAT which is more than I can say for any Prestone product I can find. They do tap dance a bit in their specs by saying "In 1975, the federal government passed the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act; prohibiting a manufacturer or dealer from voiding your warranty just because you’ve chosen to use a quality aftermarket replacement part." That's not quite what the Act says especially with respect to use of "parts" whose use is specifically discourage (ex. Propylene Glycol based antifreeze).

Bottom line is this looks ok but for my personal use I think I'll stick with the Xerex G-05 just because it clearly works and the cost every few years is minimal.

When I had my Repair Shop that I got out of just before the Y2K clock ticked to 2K. I kicked Safety Kleen out of my place due to their Mob connections at the time.Of Course that may have been what they had to do to do business in Illinois at the time.
For those of us not connected with a repair shop that is connected with Safety Kleen, NAPA has what we need.

Probably less than a replacement cooling system would.... But would you want to take the risk on a cleaning product company making automotive coolants?

Just like I won't ask a brain surgeon to operate on my computer, I'm not asking them to do something for my engine. I will happily stick with the Zerex like PapaIndigo said. After 120k miles, the only time I did anything with any antifreeze was when my engine was replaced. I'm not certain exactly what they used then, but it has been in there for 60k miles now. I do plan on flushing the system entirely when I replace my thermostat. Zerex will be going in.
