I would expect a new SEGR kit would not greatly exceed the last price sold, in the range of $100 - $120. I should be able to do assembly for slightly less than before, probably $150 - $160 more including the harness, bypass and testing. Everyone who is OK with this pricing and wants one, please reply in this thread. I'd like to see at least 10 people 90% sure they will order one before I go ahead. And if any of the previous designers/builders want to contribute work, ideas, documentation, please let me know as well. I have the original schematics and parts list, but I will have to do a new PCB layout. |

Does you kit have a printed circuit board or is it hard wired? I put together a kit that was hard wired, but it is a mess. I might bite on a kit that has the printed circuit board that requires a lot less messy hard wiring. |

Is that about $110 for the kit, and about $265 (110 + 155) for kit, assembly, harness, etc.? |

warp2diesel wrote: Does you kit have a printed circuit board or is it hard wired? The SEGR has a printed circuit board with through-hole components on one side. The whole unit is installed in a metal box with an external connector for the wire harness. The wires on the other end are spliced into the CRD harness. The box is installed under the dash to protect it from water, there is a good grommet location where the wire harness exits through the firewall.

I would be interested in a kit, funds are tight here, but would love to turn off CEL.

I asked my wife and she said she would rather have a massage than have the CEL go out. Funny she could care less as long as she does not break down. And hers is running great. I can not see spending the money either. |

She won't know when something starts to go wrong until it is too late. Get a GDE tune or SEGR. DOC |

I'd like to get this egr problem straitened out but before I commit to a kit can anyone spell out in laymens turms a compare/contrast between the segr and GDE tune. I know the tune is more pricey but if it does a better job and saves fuel It might be worth it. on the other hand if there is little difference between the end result of the two then the cheeper one is a no brainer. |

I'm in for an unassembled kit. |

| Post subject: | Re: SEGR kits 2012 |
So LocoCRD has some unassembled kits for sale. If there is still demand for the SEGR after those are spoken for, I will go ahead with doing another run. Anyone who wants one assembled, I will build and test all the old ones for $170 shipped in the continental US. This includes a wiring harness, a bypass plug and installation instructions. |

Good suggestion, it will be incorporated with a higher resistance. |
